German Language Training

The German Language Training Programme at Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar is designed to provide learners with a structured and progressive pathway to develop German language proficiency from A1 to B2 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The programme combines strong linguistic foundations with practical communication skills, enabling learners to use German confidently in everyday, academic and professional environments. Conducted through fully offline classroom-based training, the programme emphasises continuous practice in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, supported by systematic development of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and cultural understanding. Learners progress through clearly defined levels using established Netzwerk neu learning materials, regular classroom activities, weekly assessments, revision and level-wise internal examinations. In addition to language development, the programme incorporates career-oriented German, including preparation for job applications, German CVs and cover letters, interviews, workplace communication and Ausbildung-related opportunities. Learners also receive preparation and guidance for relevant Goethe examinations, while external examination registration is undertaken independently by the learner. Successful completion of each level is recognised through an SDI internal certificate, subject to the prescribed assessment requirements. With its combination of structured language instruction, practical communication, examination preparation, career orientation and placement assistance, the programme aims to help learners build meaningful German proficiency and prepare for employment, vocational training, higher education and professional opportunities in India and Germany.
